Fly or take a train to Guwahati, then drive via Tezpur, Bomdila, Dirang and Sela Pass. The road journey is roughly 520 km and is done over two days in either direction.

Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh; foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP). Bumla Pass and other border areas need additional Army clearance arranged locally, and foreign nationals are not permitted to visit Bumla Pass.
