History
Chug is one of the oldest continuously farmed valleys in West Kameng, with traditional water-powered grain mills still standing along the stream.
Culture
The valley is known for weaving and for its walnut and kiwi orchards. Households remain largely agrarian and the settlement has resisted the guesthouse sprawl seen elsewhere.
