History

Associated with Guru Padmasambhava, who is believed to have meditated here, this Taktsang shares its name and its cliff-side drama with the better-known monastery in Bhutan.

Culture

A small resident monastic community and a steady stream of local pilgrims. Festivals here are intimate rather than spectacular.
