History
A small Brokpa settlement that functions as the staging point for the high pastures beyond. Its importance has always been logistical rather than religious or administrative.

How to reach
Plan the Thingbu village approach separately from the Nguikteng hot-spring outing described below. Confirm the destination, route and current access before departure; the published spring travel estimate is not a verified driving time to the village.
Thingbu Hot Spring at Nguikteng
The Thingbu hot spring lies beside the Mago Chu at Nguikteng. Tawang Tourism places it approximately 20 kilometres from Jang, with published estimates of about three hours’ driving from Tawang or one hour from Jang, followed by a roughly 20-minute walk.
This is a natural spring setting: check the path and current visitor arrangements before the outing, and ask locally whether bathing is permitted and what facilities are available. Do not assume a safe water temperature or medical benefits.
The Thingbu spring is distinct from the springs at Mago and Tsechu. A spring outing here does not imply permission to continue farther into the Mago area.
